WAYS OF REPAIR
Santiago, Chile
November 2024

Ways of Repair was a daily practice of  exploring ‘rituals for rest’, taking place throughout November 2024. Building on our previous practice of using ritual as a tool for healing, we were interested in how small artistic acts could enable us to connect with the new ecology we were inhabiting.

We wanted to explore how such interventions could provide the space to move at a slower pace, inviting new ways of knowing and relating to each other and our environment.

We created the rituals at the beginning of the month and selected one at random each day. On the final day we hosted a walk to thank and celebrate our temporary host - the city of Santiago. We collected objects as we walked through Parque Bustamante before arriving at the (recently removed) Monumento a Manuel Rodriguez, a site of recent social protests.

We captured our dreams, processes, reflections and learning in a Miro board - subverting the usual use of the tool as a team building tool, into an artistic platform.
