The British Ceramics Biennial & The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Stoke-on-Trent, UK
September 2023 - September 2024
Over the course of twelve months I worked in collaboration with the British Ceramics Biennial and The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery to lead a creative investigation into young people’s relationship with heritage in the City Stoke-on-Trent.
I designed and delivered creative research methodologies which included drawing, dialogue, walking and ‘thinking through making’ with collage, sculpture and ceramics.
To celebrate the project, we created an alternative audio guide to the ceramics gallery within the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. You can listen to the young people’s opinions on what they think should be included in a gallery here. Or in the museum using the printed guide.
The findings are also being used to inform future engagement strategies and exhibition design.
